This will help you to match VIN number of the car and verify its mileage and auction grade. If a seller refuses to send/show even one those three, then they're hiding something and you're better off not touching this car.

Auction grades to avoid: RA (repaired accident) and R (panels replaced) IF FRONT END ACCIDENT or A FEW PANELS REPLACED and D for bad interior (if USS auction).

I wanted a JDM van and researched a couple of months. I was thinking of importing it myself or just buying from a local dealer.

I found Natalia's website from a google search, and she had lots of information on what documentation to look out for when buying an import vehicle, eg. Export certificate and auction report etc. She also loads of resources on her blog and youtube channel.

I'm from Gold Coast, so buying local was preferable. I trawled through all the dealer stock here in SEQ using information I learned from Natalia's website and youtube. But I was never satisfied with the QLD dealer's responses. They always had some excuse on why there wasn't documentation available, dodged questions about export certificate to verify the kilometres, warranty was extra or non-existent, vague reponses to basic questions .. there was always some issue, it just felt so unprofessional and that they wouldn't be there for you after buying the vehicle.

So after trying and not being satisfied with Qld dealers, I decided the extra time and effort to buy in Sydney from Natalia would be worth it. I contacted her about a 2013 Toyota Estima hybrid.
